In recognition of World Literacy Day, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Grenada proudly executed Project Bright Start, an initiative designed to support young learners and promote the importance of education.

On Monday morning, members of JCI Grenada visited the St Patrick Anglican School during their assembly and presented students with donations of school bags and essential school supplies. The initiative aims to ensure that children are equipped with the tools they need to succeed academically while highlighting the value of literacy in shaping brighter futures.

“Education is the foundation of empowerment, and through Project Bright Start, we are reaffirming our commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders,” said Local President Ali Dowden. “By supporting literacy and providing school essentials, we are not only meeting immediate needs but also inspiring lifelong learning.”

World Literacy Day is observed globally each year to raise awareness of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights. JCI Grenada’s contribution reflects its dedication to creating sustainable impact within communities, aligned with the organisation’s mission to empower young leaders for a changing world.

JCI Grenada extends sincere appreciation to the administration and staff of the St Patrick Anglican School for their warm welcome and partnership in advancing this cause.

Most importantly, JCI Grenada expresses heartfelt thanks to its sponsors, especially Bryden & Minors Ltd, for their generous support in making Project Bright Start possible. Their contributions ensured that this initiative could bring tangible benefits to children and reinforce the importance of literacy across the community.
