POSITION TITLE: MANAGER — GRENADA OPERATIONS
Position Summary
The Manager is the senior business leader for Beacon Insurance Company Ltd., in Grenada, accountable for overall branch financial performance. The role delivers revenue, cost, and profitability targets through effective capital management, strong leadership, disciplined execution, and robust performance management, while ensuring compliance with governance, financial, and regulatory standards. The Manager translates strategy into measurable results, drives operational efficiency, safeguards customer experience, and develops people and leadership capability.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate and execute branch sales and business development strategies in alignment with corporate and divisional goals
- Drive sustainable sales growth across all lines of business, in line with approved sales plans, targets, and portfolio objectives
- Develop and monitor branch business plans in collaboration with the Senior Manager Client Services and Agencies — Regional to increase market penetration and profitability
- Identify expansion opportunities, including new agents, brokers, and niche segments
- Assist in the development and implementation of new products in collaboration with Senior Management — General Insurance Division
- Drive branch financial performance by balancing revenue growth, portfolio quality, and cost discipline to deliver profitable operations
- Ensure effective receivables management, including timely cancellations and writeoffs as documented and instructed by the Chief Financial Officer
- Apply underwriting guidelines consistently to support profitable growth, portfolio quality, and adherence to risk appetite
- Monitor new business and retention performance against approved targets (minimum 85% retention)
- Provide technical underwriting oversight across all classes within approved Limits of Authority
- Oversee customer experience throughout the claims lifecycle, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and service recovery where required
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management or Finance will be an asset
- Advanced CII Diploma or industry equivalent
- Certificate in Supervisory Management or equivalent
- AML CFT Certification from Regulatory Authority or other association
- Minimum 10 years’ industry experience with at least 3-5 years demonstrated accountability for driving performance
- Minimum 5 years leading people and teams, with a proven ability to coach and mentor for success
