The Rotary Club of Grenada (RCG) is proud to announce a generous donation of drinking water from Ram’s Grenada Ltd in aid of the Hurricane Beryl relief efforts in Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

On Wednesday, 31 July 2024, Ram’s presented 1,680 cases of water to The Rotary Club of Grenada (RCG). This contribution from Ram’s reflects their commitment to community support and disaster relief, emphasising the importance of collaboration in times of need.

Past President of the RCG John Williams remarked, “Water is life.” He emphasised that the donation of a 40-foot container of drinking water, totalling over 40,000 bottles of water, will contribute significantly to the much-needed supply in the sister isles, as they work arduously to rebuild.

Leslie-Ann Sylvester, HR Manager Ram’s Grenada, expressed how happy they are to be a part of the relief effort, and the importance they place on giving back to the community.

Ram’s recognises the urgency of providing clean drinking water as a fundamental need for those affected by Hurricane Beryl. By partnering with the Rotary Club of Grenada, Ram’s aims to ensure that the water reaches those who need it most efficiently and effectively.

The RCG, renowned for its dedication to humanitarian service, will coordinate the distribution of the bottled water to impacted areas. President of the RCG, Otis Wade, commented, “This collaboration highlights the power of community partnerships in addressing needs and supporting recovery efforts. Rotarians are people of action, and together, we make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable persons.”

RCG continues to collect relief items for the people of Carriacou and Petite Martinique, which can be dropped off at the headquarters of the Vice President of RCG, Alphonsus Daniel, at Daniel & Daniel Engineering Inc., and Plumbing Solutions at Dusty Highway from Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm. The RCG encourages prospective donors to call ahead of drop-offs. Please call (473) 440-1939/535-3837/407-3837/406-9333.
