Elderly residents at the Top Hill Senior Citizens Home were specially treated by the staff of the Parliamentary Constituency Office for Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
They received a special meal and hairdressing services, pedicures and manicures from hairdressers and a local barber.
Research Officer at the Parliamentary Office Joylyn Bedeau who organised the event, along with other staff members, said this is a way of showing appreciation to the senior citizens.
This event is part of a Special Projects programme of Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government Hon. Tevin Andrews. He said he is happy to show love and appreciation to the elderly who have contributed to nation-building.
Meanwhile, a special Minister’s Christmas luncheon will be held for all senior citizens in Carriacou and Petite Martinique on 20 December at the Carriacou Botanical Gardens as part of the Christmas in the Gardens event.
