IAL is seeking to recruit a dynamic professional as Supermarket Manager to manage the operations of its CK’s Super Valu retail outlet.
Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the supermarket, including inventory management, customer service, staff management, and financial management. The Supermarket Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the supermarket, as well as the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve sales and profitability, including promotions, discounts, and optimizing product placement.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the wholesale supermarket, including inventory management, customer service, and financial management.
- Managing and supervising staff, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and performing their duties effectively.
- Responding to customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices and making recommendations to the CEO for improvements and innovations.
Requirements & Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail or wholesale management, with a proven track record of success.
- Highly numerate with sound skills in analysing and applying financial information.
- Effective leadership, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to motivate and build highly effective teams.
- The ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
