The news of the untimely passing of Martin Joseph, former, Parliamentarian, Government Minister and General Secretary of the People’s National Movement (PNM) in Trinidad, was a shock to all of us in the National Democratic Congress who knew him.
Martin can be described as a significant member of the PNM family and a much admired son of Trinidad and Tobago. It is indeed a great loss. His quiet demeanour, great sense of humour, strategic thinking and loyalty to the cause of advancing the interest of our Caribbean civilization will be sorely missed.
This great sense of loss is accentuated by our deep friendship and admiration for Martin Joseph as we valued his counsel and experience.
The National Democratic Congress joins with the PNM family and the wider Trinidad community in celebrating his life. Our deepest condolences to his family, close friends and associates.
