On Thursday, 28 August, the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI SRC) advised the National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA) of elevated seismic activity at the Kick ’em Jenny (KeJ) Submarine Volcano.

The unrest began on Wednesday, 27 August 2025.

The UWI SRC advised of significantly lower levels of activity at the Kick ’em Jenny (KeJ) Submarine Volcano on Friday, 29 August 2025.

Despite the reduced activity, the alert level remains at YELLOW (volcano is restless; activity may be increasing).

NaDMA will monitor the situation closely and provide timely updates to the public. Residents are reminded to pay attention to official sources of information and to follow all guidance provided by the relevant authorities.
