The Commission of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is pleased to announce that the application deadline for the Window 1 Call for Proposals for the Regional MSME Matching Grants Programme has been extended to 13 December 2024, at 11:59 pm.

This is great news for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Grenada, St Lucia, and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

This extension provides more time for MSMEs in the Marine Tourism, Fisheries, and Waste Management sectors to seize this fantastic funding opportunity. Fishermen, seafood processors, seafood distributors, leisure boat owners, dive operators, watersport operators, dive shops, seamoss farmers, waste haulers and waste recyclers are among the varied types of entrepreneurs and businesses eligible for the funding under the programme.

The deadline has been extended to ensure that as many eligible businesses as possible can benefit from this World Bank-funded initiative under the Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Eastern Caribbean (UBEC) Project.

Why Apply?

Grants ranging from US$5,000 to US$25,000 are available to support:

  • Business expansion and increased productivity
  • Adoption of innovative technologies and sustainable practices
  • Strengthening your role in the region’s growing Blue Economy

For an MSME to qualify for funding under the programme, it must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Must be legally registered in either St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines or Grenada
  2. Must provide articles of incorporation, business name registration or any other documentation which substantiates the legal character of the entity in the country in which it operates
  3. Must be in operation for a minimum of 2 years. This must be supported by bank statements or financial statements covering the last 2 years
  4. Must have less than 50 employees and generate under $1 million per year

Don’t miss this extended opportunity to grow your business and contribute to a sustainable future. Applications must be submitted by 13 December 2024, at 11:59 pm.

For more information on the Window 1 Call for Proposals, contact the OECS Matching Grants Unit at [email protected]t or click on the link https://oecs.int/en/unleashing–the–blue–economy/mgp/call–for–proposals.
