Traffic arrangements: Reggae Fest at National Stadium

The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) notifies the general public and in particular motorists, that the following traffic arrangements will be in effect for Qwest Promotions Reggae Fest, at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium, on Saturday, 6 April 2024.

These traffic arrangements will be in effect from 5:30 pm until the conclusion of the event on Sunday, 7 April 2024 at 5 am.

All vehicular traffic entering the Stadium will use the Queen’s Park Ring Road from its intersection with Cherry Hill, St George. Also, the Humpback Bridge where it joins with River Road Public Road.

No vehicular traffic will be allowed to enter the Stadium from the Mt Gay or Mt Rush direction.

NO ENTRY

Vehicular traffic will not be allowed to enter the following areas:

  • Old Fort public road from its junction with Lucas Street
  • Cemetery Hill from its junction with Church Street
  • The Ring Road from its junction with Mt Rush Public Road toward the direction of the Humpback Bridge

NO PARKING

No parking will be allowed in the following areas:

  • Melville Street from the Fish Market to Keep Left
  • From Keep Left to Cherry Hill, inclusive of Queens Park Public Road
  • Cemetery Hill intersection with River Road to Purcell’s Lumber Yard
  • Left side of the stadium ring towards Darbeau direction
  • Mt Rush public road from its intersection with Stadium Ring Road to the beginning of the hill

PARKING

  • VIP parking will be in the concrete and grass areas in front of the Kirani James Athletic Stadium and Gate 6
  • Public parking will be available in the following areas:
    • Wesley College Ground, Ariza Car Park, and St George’s Bus Terminal

ONE-WAY

At the conclusion of the events vehicles will only be allowed to travel on the following roads in one direction as stated hereunder:

  • River Road Public Road towards DeCaul roundabout
  • Mt Rush Public Road towards Mt Gay
  • Mortley Hill towards Sans Souci
  • Humpback Bridge towards River Road

EMERGENCY ROUTE

All emergency vehicles will travel along Cemetery Hill, Church Street, Grand Etang Road onto the General Hospital.
