The Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GCIC) has successfully concluded its 2026 Inter-Sector Windball Cricket Competition on 5 June 2026, bringing together employees from organisations across Grenada in a vibrant display of sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie.
The competition commenced with an impressive 28 teams representing both the public and private sectors, making it one of the largest editions of the tournament to date. Following an exciting preliminary round and 2 highly competitive knockout stages, the field was narrowed to the top four teams, each demonstrating exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the competition.
At the conclusion of the tournament, St George’s University (SGU) emerged as the 2026 champions, delivering outstanding performances throughout the competition to secure the coveted title.
The final standings were as follows:
- 1st Place — St George’s University (SGU)
- 2nd Place — His Majesty’s Prisons
- 3rd Place — National Water and Sewerage Authority (Nawasa)
- 4th Place — Hospitals
The GCIC congratulates all participating teams and extends special commendation to the top 4 finalists for their remarkable achievements.
The chamber also expresses its sincere appreciation to the participating organisations, sponsors, partners, match officials, volunteers, spectators, and the many individuals who contributed to the success of this year’s competition.
As the curtain closes on another successful tournament, the GCIC looks forward to building on this momentum and welcoming even more organisations to future editions of its inter-sector sporting programmes.
