Over $36,000 has been invested in a Fashion Designing course by the Division of Youth within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government.
The Division, which has skills training in different areas high on its agenda, is offering young people an opportunity to develop themselves in collaboration with T A Marryshow Community College (TAMCC).
The aim of the course is to equip the trainees with the skills, knowledge and confidence to pursue a successful career in the fashion industry.
Youth Officer Georgina Ray said on completion of the course, participants will receive a Level 2 Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) in Fashion Design.
Well-known local seamstress Noreen Moses is facilitating the course, which would allow participants to gain an understanding of fashion design principles and gain the ability to create original designs.
Meanwhile, as the Youth Division continues to provide opportunities to help young people become self-employed and employable, they are offering an SSI Open Water Dive Certification from 22 April 2024, to be conducted by Deefer Dive.

This investment allocated the youth people is very small money so you have to increase that investment.
