Lab & Quality Control Manager
Grenada Distillers Limited is seeking a high performing individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and analytic skills, will be detailed oriented and innovative.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System; specifically to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of systems for compliance to the ISO Standard
- Continually review and analyse data and recommend changes to production processes or quality controls to address and eliminate problems and improve levels of quality with the goal of reducing production costs and improving overall product quality
- Implement practices, as needed, utilising quality management tools and monitor Staff to ensure the adherence to Good Laboratory Practices
Requirements:
- BSc Degree in Science or in a Quality Management specialty
- Technical Knowledge and Experience in ISO Food Safety Management Systems and Food Safety Procedures
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Quality Assurance/Quality Control
- Knowledge of HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Excellent computer skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, and work as part of a team
Physical demand and environmental conditions:
- Working condition is normal for manufacturing environment, and may require lifting and carrying objects
- Must be able to comfortably wear PPE
- May be exposed to heat, dust and noise when visiting production areas
