Prime Minister Honourable Dickon Mitchell extends warm congratulations to Honourable Philip Davis on his re-election as Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas following the recent general election.
This outcome reflects a renewed mandate of trust bestowed by the Bahamian people in his leadership and in their system of democratic governance.
As fellow members of the Caribbean Community (Caricom), Grenada and The Bahamas continue to work collaboratively to advance Caribbean unity, strengthen regional integration, and promote sustainable development. Our partnership remains vital as we collectively move Caricom forward in addressing economic resilience, climate action, food and water security, and social development.
As Small Island Developing States (SIDS), Grenada and The Bahamas share common commitments and challenges, including vulnerability to climate change, external economic shocks, and the need for inclusive and sustainable growth. Through solidarity, cooperation, and coordinated regional action, both nations remain steadfast in advocating for the interests of the Caribbean on the global stage.
The Government of Grenada looks forward to continued collaboration with the Government of The Bahamas in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing shared regional and international priorities in the spirit of unity, partnership, and Caribbean solidarity.
