The Traffic Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) notifies the general public, particularly motorists, that Scott Street will be closed to vehicular traffic to facilitate asphalt paving works being carried out by the National Water and Sewerage Authority (Nawasa).
The closure will take effect from Tuesday, 2 June 2026, between 9 pm and 3 am and will remain in effect until further notice.
To facilitate this closure, the following traffic arrangements will be implemented:
Alternative route
Vehicles travelling along Halifax Street must make a left turn onto Church Street, followed by a right turn onto Lucas Street to access HA Blaize Street.
One-way traffic
Church Street will operate as a one-way street from its intersection with Halifax Street in the direction of Cemetery Hill.
No Entry
No vehicular access will be permitted:
- Church Street from its intersection with Market Hill
- Young Street from its intersection with The Carenage public road
- Monckton Street from its intersection with Matthew Street
No Parking
Parking will be prohibited on Scott Street for the duration of the operation.
The Royal Grenada Police Force apologises for any inconvenience caused and anticipates the cooperation and compliance of all road users.
