Ariza Credit Union is once again proud to be associated with the vibrant celebrations of carnival in Carriacou, reaffirming its longstanding commitment to culture, community and national heritage.
The organisation contributed EC$10,000 towards the successful staging of this year’s event, widely regarded as the premier cultural highlight on the island’s calendar. The sponsorship included both cash and in-kind support. Prizes were awarded to all 5 Carnival Queen contestants, the first and second place winners in the Power Soca Monarch, Groovy Soca Monarch and Dimanche Gras competitions.
Support for the festival spans more than a decade and reflects Ariza’s enduring dedication to the people of Carriacou and their cultural traditions. Chief Executive Officer Ariza Mervyn Lord emphasised the institution’s philosophy, stating: “Ariza prides itself on being where our people are and supporting them to realise their success. This is why we continue to support this initiative in Carriacou.”
This year’s celebrations carried special significance following the island’s devastation in 2024, which rendered them unable to stage Kayak Mas in 2025. The successful staging of the 2026 Carnival is a powerful symbol of resilience and renewal. Ariza extends heartfelt congratulations to all winners and participants whose talent and enthusiasm contributed to the event’s success.
The credit union also commends the efforts of the Carriacou Carnival Committee for their dedication in delivering a memorable and well-executed festival and looks forward to continued collaboration in future years.
Ariza Credit Union is committed to empowering communities through financial services, partnerships and initiatives that promote social and economic development.
