- MP Clarice Modeste will question Waltham Land Expansion Project, Victoria Hotel, and 3 farm roads
- Opposition Leader Emmalin Pierre will question Cannabis Commission, current cannabis policy, and status of MNIB
- Questions as listed on the Order Paper will be asked before ministerial statements to the sitting
The estimated cost and stipulated completion time for the Clozier Land Slippage Project and the original cost approved for the renovations for the Police Headquarters on the Carenage are among the questions that Opposition Leader Emmalin Pierre will be asking Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell when the Lower House or House of Representatives meets on Wednesday, 18 November 2025.
These questions are among several from the Opposition Leader listed on the Order Paper for the sitting. There are also questions submitted to ministers Andy Williams and Lennox Andrews.
Pierre will ask questions centred on or about cannabis to Minister Andrews, who is the Minister for Blue Economy and Marine Affairs, Economic Development, Planning and Cooperatives, Agriculture and Lands, Forestry and Marine Resources.
Her questions are: What is the status of the new Cannabis Commission? What is the Government’s current policy on cannabis, specifically with respect to legalisation and decriminalisation? What is the current status of the restructuring or re-establishment of the Marketing and National Importing Board (MNIB)?
She is also requesting that the Government provide a detailed list of farmers and fishermen who benefited from the CCRIF (Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility) payout, indicating how much each individual received and the village or community in which they reside.
Clarice Modeste, Member for St Mark, will among other questions, ask Prime Minister Mitchell to tell the Parliament the state of progress of work on the Waltham Land Expansion Project for the fishermen; the status of the work at the Victoria Hotel, and how soon will it be ready for occupation by the police, and the status of work on the Red Mud farm road and the Mt Cenis to Brothers farm roads.
The questions as listed on the Order Paper will be asked before ministers are scheduled to provide ministerial statements to the sitting.
