Assignment Title: Non-Consultant Services for the Household Budget Survey/Survey of Living Conditions (Editors/Coders)

Background:
The Grenada Central Statistical Office (GCSO) will conduct the Household Budget Survey (HBS) and the Survey of Living Conditions (SLC) from November 2025 to October 2026, preceded by a listing exercise. These surveys are critical national initiatives aimed at identifying and analysing poverty levels, updating the Consumer Price Index (CPI), and gathering essential data on household spending, education, health, nutrition, housing, and demographics.
Objective of the assignment
The CSO seeks qualified Editors/Coders to review, code, and validate survey questionnaires to ensure the accuracy and quality of data collected during the HBS/SLC.
Scope of work
Editors/Coders will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the monthly preparation and assignment of the HBS/SLC workload
- Reviewing, coding, and editing no fewer than 250 completed survey questionnaires each month at headquarters
- Troubleshooting and assisting with the resolution of issues related to tablets and computers used by field staff
- Complying with all instructions and guidelines provided by supervisors
- Maintaining confidentiality under the Oath of Secrecy
- Maintaining professional conduct and supporting colleagues as required
- Returning all issued equipment and materials at the end of the exercise
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Director of Statistics
Qualifications
- At least 4 CXC passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and Information Technology
- Experience in data collection and/or household surveys is highly valuable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and coding data
- Familiarity with survey software (e.g., Survey Solutions) is preferred
- Experience with data entry and data management will be considered an asset
- Fluency in the local language is required
