Fuel Adjustment Clause increase effective August 2025

Grenlec is advising customers of an increase in the Fuel Adjustment Clause (FAC) that will impact electricity bills issued after 14 August 2025.

Two main factors are driving this increase in the FAC:

  • The end of credits from 2024 fuel charges, which ended in June/July. As a result, customers benefitted from this adjustment on their bills
  • An increase in world fuel prices because of geopolitical events that pushed the company’s fuel bills up between June and August

As customers are aware, the nation of Grenada is not immune to the fluctuations in the global cost of fuel, which is influenced by events beyond our borders.

Grenlec continues to encourage customers to adopt energy conservation measures that can help ease the impact on their monthly bills.

For more information and energy conservation tips, we invite customers to visit grenlec.com.
