The Traffic Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) notifies the general public of the following traffic arrangements to facilitate the hosting of the National Carnival Queen Show, on Thursday, 7 August 2025, at the National Stadium.
These arrangements will be in effect from 6 pm until the conclusion of the event.
Restricted access
Vehicular traffic via Humpback Bridge will be restricted to VIPs, Dignitaries, and individuals with a special permit issued by SpiceMas Corporation.
No entry: No vehicular access will be allowed in the following areas
- Old Fort public road from its junction with Lucas Street
- Cemetery Hill from its junction with Church Street
- Hump Back Bridge from its junction with River Road
- The ring road from its junction with Mt Rush public road to the direction of the Hump Back Bridge
- Top of Mt Rush to the Stadium
No parking: No parking will be permitted on either side of the following roadways
- Melville Street from the Fish Market to Cherry Hill
- Queen’s Park road from its junction with Green Bridge to the National Stadium
- River Road from Purcell’s Lumber Yard to the roundabout close to La Qua Brothers Crematorium
- Mt Rush public road from its junction with the ring road
- National Stadium main entrance public way from Green Bridge
Parking arrangements
VIP Parking: Gate 6 is reserved for VIPs such as the Governor-General, Prime Minister, and Parliamentarians
Paid VIP ticket holders may park in
- The concrete area at the Kirani James Stadium
- The area in front of the National Stadium adjacent to River Road
Public parking: Designated public parking areas include:
- Wesley College grounds
- Ariza Car Park
- Upper level of the Bus Terminal
- Tanteen Playing Field
- Old Trafford Playing Field
A shuttle service will be provided for attendees parking at locations away from the Stadium.
Emergency Route
The Emergency Route from the National Stadium will be Queens Park Public Road onto Cemetery Hill, Old Fort, Lucas Street on to Grand Etang Road to the General Hospital
Vending
Permitted Vending area: Vending will only be allowed on the sea side of the main public way along the western corridor in the area close to the mobile barber shop.
Prohibited vending areas: No vending will be allowed in the following areas:
- Queen’s Park public road from Green Bridge to its intersection with the Stadium ring road.
- The entire Stadium ring road and any other area in the vicinity of the National Stadium.
