The National Water and Sewerage Authority (Nawasa) has initiated several island-wide projects under the Green Climate Fund (GCF) grant for the implementation of the Grenada Climate-Resilient Water Sector (G-CREWS) Project.
To facilitate the growing need for site supervision, applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Site Supervisor at Nawasa. The selected candidate will be required to supervise project sites in Carriacou for the duration of their appointment.
Preamble
The successful candidate will report to the Planning and Development Manager or their designate and will be based in Carriacou.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Site Supervisor will:
- Supervise the contractor and the construction activities daily
- Assist with quality control of pipeline installation and maintain detailed daily records of the contractor’s progress, weather conditions, material assignments and usage, production drawings, all field data, and site inspections
- Assist with systematic measurement of completed works and prepare and sign off on claims for payment, variations, and change orders
- Monitor the contractor’s implementation of the Environmental, Social, Health, and Safety (ESHS) Management Strategies and Implementation Plan, including all environmental, health & safety, social, and gender-related provisions. Maintain records and follow up on the progress and resolution of all cases
- Collect, log, and file all test results, supported by digital photographs and written records
- Conduct weekly site meetings with the contractor, document discussions, and file all daily, weekly, and monthly reports submitted to or received from the contractor
- Assist in coordinating traffic management along the project site and liaise with entities responsible for underground and nearby utilities, as well as adjacent property owners, as needed
- Perform any other related duties as required
Minimum professional qualifications
- Certificate in Building Construction or a related technical certification from a recognised institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline installation/civil works
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A valid driver’s licence (D Class licence would be an asset)

Remuneration
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
