The Grenada Sustainable Development Trust Funds Inc. invites suitable candidates to apply for social media and communications internship position.
This internship is open to bachelor/master/postgraduate students who are currently enrolled in a recognized university in an English-speaking member state Caribbean country to fill this position.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Position Title: Communications and Social Media Intern
Organization: Grenada Sustainable Development Trust Fund (GSDTF)
Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs)
Location: Hybrid with periodic Office and Field Visits, Grenada
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Objectives
- To enhance the visibility and engagement of GSDTF.
- To manage and grow GSDTF’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and the organization’s website.
- To support the implementation of the public engagement schedule as outlined in Annual Workplan.
Responsibilities
- Develop a visually appealing social media branding kit and content to highlight GSDTF’s activities and achievements.
- Implementation of Public Engagement Schedule as outlined in Communication plan.
- Social Media Engagement – Execute the social media engagement plan by posting according to the specified schedule.
- Media Engagement – Assist in reaching out to local radio stations for interviews and
- Support the preparation and dissemination of quarterly press releases.
- Public Engagement – Help organize and distribute informational materials for Call for Proposals among key stakeholders.
- Education and Outreach – Coordinate with schools to plan and execute programs focused on sustainable development and conservation.
- Collaborative Outreach – Assist in planning and executing joint initiatives with other environmental organizations and key stakeholders.
- Annual Highlights – Support the preparation and publication of the Annual Report summarizing GSDTF’s activities and achievements.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and content management systems (CMS) for website maintenance.
- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for sustainable development and conservation.
Requirements
- An intern’s proposal must be approved by the university with evidence provided in the form of an endorsement letter.
- Interns will be required to sign an internship contract.

Reporting and Supervision
