Assignment Title: Consultancy for Producing Demographic and Thematic Reports Based on the Population and Housing Census 2021

The Government of Grenada has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the OECS Data for Decision Making Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include producing comprehensive demographic reports based on data collected from the Population and Housing Census 2021. The consultancy will involve collaboration with the Central Statistical Office’s Survey Unit and other stakeholders to deliver key thematic reports in areas such as population trends, education, economic activities, health, and housing. The consultant will also manage and analyse census data, ensuring the final report aligns with regional statistical standards.

Ministry of Economic Development, Planning, Agriculture and Lands, Forestry, Marine Resources and Cooperatives now invited eligible individuals (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the services.
Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The shortlisting criteria are:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Demography, Statistics, or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience in demography, statistics, or related areas, with proven experience in census or large-scale surveys
- Proficiency in data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, and R
- Strong communication skills, including report writing and presenting statistical findings
Selection Criteria:
The selection will be conducted through the “Individual Consultant Selection” method in accordance with World Bank guidelines. Interested consultants must submit their curriculum vitae (CV), a technical proposal detailing their methodology, and a financial proposal.
Conflict of Interest:
Interested consultants are reminded of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations (July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018), particularly Sections III, paragraphs 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 regarding conflict of interest.
Submission Guidelines:
Expressions of interest should be submitted in English and delivered to the address below no later than 21 October 2024, by 3 pm. Submissions should be clearly labelled “Expression of Interest — Consultancy for Demographic and Thematic Reports — Population and Housing Census 2021.”
