The Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for St David Honourable Dickon Mitchell proudly announces the grand opening of the Vincennes Community Centre on Thursday, 25 July 2024.
This event signifies a momentous achievement for the communities of Vincennes, Syracuse, Dudmar, Windsor Forest, and neighbouring areas, introducing a new hub dedicated to enhancing social interaction, education, and community engagement.
The Vincennes Community Centre is set to become a focal point of community life, offering a diverse range of activities and programmes designed to enrich the lives of all residents.
The opening ceremony will feature addresses from the Honourable Dickon Mitchell, Member of Parliament for St David, special invited guests, and insights into forthcoming initiatives aimed at empowering and uniting the community. Residents are cordially invited to join us for this important event.
The Vincennes Community Centre is the fourth community centre completed in the last 2 years under the leadership of the Honourable Dickon Mitchell, with the next one scheduled for Old Westerhall. Other community centres completed in the parish of St David include Belle Isle, Berrotte, and Corinth.
“These community projects are a testament to our collective vision to transform St David,” Hon. Dickon Mitchell said. “The plan is to renovate or construct community centres across the parish so that residents can have a place to socialise, host community meetings, and engage in educational and recreational activities.”
The Prime Minister and Member of Parliament extend heartfelt gratitude to the community for owning this project, the generous donors, and all stakeholders who continue to contribute to the success of the community of St David.
