Long-term solutions to development challenges are best found through effective collaboration, local ownership and buy-in.
USAID’s Youth Resilience, Inclusion and Empowerment (Y-RIE) Programme is seeking creative concepts that focus on youth development issues, propose smart, locally-driven approaches, bring partners together to work effectively and implement innovative activities. Y-RIE is looking for concepts that focus on particular communities and seek to engage youth aged 10 to 29 years old, build their resilience and empower them to contribute to safer, more prosperous communities.
This funding opportunity is released as an Annual Programme Statement (APS) to engage local partners, including youth groups, government, the private sector, and civil society in transformational partnerships that build the capacity of local youth-serving and youth-led partners, improve opportunities for youth resilience and improve community safety. Y-RIE is calling on organisations to submit creative and unique concept papers that align with the objectives outlined in its APS. Applicants with the most promising concepts will receive a request for a full application and begin a co-development process with the Y-RIE team.
Competition for this APS will be open for a one-year period. A special rapid concept call is announced for concepts to be submitted by 21 July 2023, with notification of shortlisting for a second round of applications in October 2023.
Details related to application and submission are available by sending an email expressing interest to [email protected] or by visiting the Y-RIE APS site at this link.
