Although the number of Covid-19 cases on Carriacou and Petite Martinique remains very low, 4 people here took the opportunity to get vaccinated during a Ministry of Health recent health fair.
The five included 2 children.
Acting Community Health Officer Carol Telesford-Charles, was very happy to see the response of locals to the vaccination exercise. It shows that citizens are serious about protecting themselves, she said.
The health fair, held at the Hillsborough Tennis Court, was attended by close to 100 people. Other than vaccinating, attendees also had the opportunity to get their blood pressure, sugar level and cholesterol checked, while gaining nutritional knowledge from Food and Nutrition Officer Jennifer Duncan.
The health fair, part of the Ministry of Health’s Christmas Caravan, was held under the theme, “Wellness Involving Sensible Habits.”
