A 39-year-old resident of Springs, St George who appeared in Court on Monday, 1 June 2015, charged for the offense of stealing by reason of employment, has been granted bail in the sum of $500,000 with three sureties.
Elvin Chitan, an Accountant, is accused of stealing monies in excess of $400,000 from his former employer, Columbus Communications. The offence was reportedly committed between the 1 January 2010 and 27 February 2015.
He is due to reappear in Court on 14 July 2015.
