On Tuesday 29 July 2014, Acting Commissioner of Police Winston James, signed an agreement on behalf of the Minister for National Security accepting assistance from the Ministry of Defence of the People’s Republic of China. Ambassador to China, Madam Ou Boqian, signed on behalf of China’s Ministry of Defence expressing their assistance in providing logistics to Grenada.
The assistance gratis of logistics amounts to a value of ¥10 million (approximately EC$4,374,456).
Discussions between the Commissioner of Police, security officials, and an incoming Chinese delegation will be held later in the year to confirm the specifics of the logistics.
