The newly appointed Acting Supervisor of Elections took the oath of office on Monday afternoon.
Alex Phillip, Principal of Wesley College, was appointed and sworn in by Governor General, Dame Cécile La Grenade. Phillip’s appointment comes a few weeks after the resignation of the then-Acting Supervisor of Elections, Aaron Francois.
The new Acting Supervisor has been a civil servant for more than 25 years, of which he has served as Principal of Wesley College for the last 11 years.
