Grenada and Cuba have had diplomatic relations for 35 years. On Saturday 12 April, the Grenada–Cuba Friendship Association will be having a Solidarity Activity at the Grenada Boys’ Secondary School (GBSS) Auditorium at Tanteen, St George’s. The event starts at 3:30 pm.
The public, friends of Cuba, Grenadians who have studied in Cuba and their parents, workers associated with the construction of the international airport — now Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA) — between 1980 and 1983, and persons who received medical services, are especially invited.
Last year, the Grenada National Museum hosted an art exhibition of Cuba and Grenada artists to celebrate the occasion of the 34th Anniversary of Bi-Lateral Relations.
