The Grenada Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) in collaboration with Junior Achievement Grenada Inc. (JA–GND) will host a half day seminar under the theme: “Think Creative, Be Innovative”, to sensitize students on the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset and thinking beyond the ordinary. The seminar targets students who would have completed the 2015–2016 JA Company programme as well as those interested in participating in the 2016–2017 Company Programme.
The feature speaker will be Luis Pereyra, President of Kikaboni (Healthy Flow Agroindustrial SRL) a healthy snack manufacturing company from the Dominican Republic which became the first company in the world to produce healthy snacks using Moringa as one of their main ingredients. Today they have 3 varieties of Pita Chips that use super foods like Moringa, Quinoa and Chia Seeds to boost the nutritional value of their products. Mr Pereyra is a young entrepreneur who recently received the overall Regional Investor of the Year Award at the Caribbean Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (CAIPA) Investment Summit held in Miami on 13 May 2016.
The seminar will be held at the Deluxe Cinema, Grenville on 21 September 2016, from 9 am to 12 pm.
