In observance of Hypertension Awareness Month, Ariza Credit Union partnered with the Ministry of Health to host health clinics across its branches on Friday, 15 May 2026, reinforcing the organisation’s continued commitment to staff wellness and healthy living.
Nursing stations were established at the Grand Anse, Bruce Street, and Carriacou branches, where both staff and members were encouraged to Know Your Numbers through a series of health screenings and wellness checks. The initiative formed part of Ariza’s Know Your Numbers Week, observed from 11–15 May and included testing for:
- Blood Pressure (Hypertension)
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Diabetes Screening
The activity was coordinated through Ariza’s Human Resources Unit as part of the organisation’s ongoing workplace health and wellness programme. According to HR Executive Keriann St Louis-Telesford, “We care about our staff in a holistic way. Their well-being is our priority, which is why we made the testing available to them.”

Beyond the health screenings, Ariza continues to implement additional wellness initiatives aimed at supporting both the physical and mental well-being of staff. These include:
- After-work dancercise and exercise sessions held 3 times weekly on the compound, facilitated by respected fitness experts
- A monthly Mental Health Day initiative, during which staff are encouraged to down tools for 30 minutes and participate in relaxing and restorative activities
The organisation believes that fostering a culture of wellness contributes not only to healthier employees but also to a more productive and supportive work environment.
Ariza Credit Union encourages all staff and members of the wider community to remain proactive about their health by maintaining healthy lifestyles, regularly monitoring their blood pressure, and participating in preventive health checks.
