The Grenada Football Association (GFA) is hosting of a 5-day FIFA Rap Course, which began 5 December and will run through 9 December.
This comprehensive training programme is designed to equip local referees with the essential skills and knowledge to excel both on and off the field.
The FIFA Rap Course is a crucial initiative by the GFA to elevate the level of officiating in Grenada’s football landscape. The course will cover a wide range of topics, including the latest laws of the game, effective communication techniques, and strategies for managing high-pressure game situations. Participants will engage in both theoretical and practical sessions, ensuring they are well-prepared to make informed decisions and maintain the integrity of the sport.

This initiative aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of referees within the region, ensuring they are well-equipped to officiate international standards of officiating. The GFA is committed to promoting excellence in football, and this workshop is a crucial step towards achieving that goal by empowering referees with the necessary tools to perform their duties with confidence and integrity.
The course is facilitated by experienced instructors and facilitators Javier Santos (FIFA Referee Development Officer), Dianne Ferreira-James (FIFA Technical Instructor) and Kelesha Antoine (FIFA and Concacaf Referee Fitness Instructor), who will share their expertise and insights with the participating referees.
