The Division of Youth within the Ministry of Youth and Sports will host 2 two-day workshops designed to strengthen the capacity of youth-led community organisations and leaders across Grenada.
The first of the inaugural 2-day workshops will take place this weekend at the Grenada Youth and Cultural Centre on Saturday, 12 October and Sunday, 13 October 2024, from 9 am to 4:30 pm each day. The next workshops will be held on Saturday, 9 and Sunday, 10 November 2024.
Registration for this weekend’s workshop is closed, however, there are some available spots for next month’s workshop. Young people involved in youth groups, sports clubs, and cultural organisations are encouraged to make use of the opportunity.
The workshops will cover essential topics such as financial management, leadership, protocol, project management, effective communication and more. A team of expert facilitators will lead the sessions, including:
- Khesha Mitchell, Senior Vice President of the Grenada Investment
Development Corporation and Vice President of its Business Development Centre
- Rosana John-Mitchell, Attorney-at-Law with over 10 years of experience, known for her commitment to community and leadership
- Alice Thomas-Roberts, Protocol and Etiquette Training Consultant, Presenter and Author
- Denisha Daniel, a financial expert with experience in corporate and NGO leadership
- Chrislyn Lashington, CEO of Lashington Agency, specialising in purpose-driven marketing and communications
