The Ministry of Education advises the public of the circulation of several fake posts on social media, falsely claiming to originate from the Ministry of Education, Grenada.

According to the FBI website, “These scams are designed to trick you into giving information to criminals that they shouldn’t have access to.” Such posts attempt to mislead unsuspecting individuals for devious reasons, and can lead to devices and accounts being comprised.

The public is advised that once an opportunity is not advertised via the official Ministry of Education channels, including through a press release and/or post(s) on the Ministry’s or GIS’ social media pages, or published to authentic and verified media sources, they are to be regarded as fake.
The public is strongly advised:
- Do not click on any link that may appear in any of these fraudulent posts
- Do not send a message to the pages that are posting these offerings
- Do not share or otherwise disseminate these malicious posts
Instead, report any suspicious post(s) to the Grenada Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) at Grenada National CSIRT (Facebook page) or via (473) 423-2478.
