Blending Technician
Requirements:
- To manufacture all in-process and final liquid blends through the transfer of ingredients from tanks/casks/totes/drums as per documented blending instructions
- To perform relevant quality analysis of in-process and final blended products as well as ingredient inputs. This includes product strength, brix, pH, organoleptic appraisal, colour
- To assist in the management of GDL Cask Room as per Cask Management Policy
- To assist in monthly stock-taking activities in Blending Department
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate Degree in Natural Science
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Mastery of liquid operations in at least one area of Blending, Casking or Distillery
- Knowledge of HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Basic proficiency in the use of computer software applications Microsoft Excel and Word
Working and Physical Environment:
- The incumbent would have a physical, strenuous and demanding job
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment with distribution and offices
- Working conditions involve frequent sitting, constant talking, hearing, and occasional standing. Incumbent will be required to lift and carry objects
- The incumbent must be able to comfortably wear the Personal Protective Equipment necessary to safely carry out the job function
