Due to the pending passage of Hurricane Beryl, a State of Emergency will be in effect for Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, from 7 pm on Sunday, 30 June 2024.
This State of Emergency will initially last for a period of 7 days unless earlier revoked.
With the exception of Police Officers, Prison Officers, Security Forces, medical personnel and other essential workers, no one is expected to be on roadways or elsewhere outside of their home or shelter, or other place of abode, after 7 pm.
Essential Workers travelling on any road during the periods of curfew will be required to present proof of such status. Such proof may include department ID card, certified original letters, etc. Persons carrying documents which do not bear a photograph, must also carry an acceptable photo ID.
The Royal Grenada Police Force advises everyone to take all necessary precautions, follow all advice and instructions from relevant authorities, and remain safe through this disaster.
