The Ministry of Health now has a National Chikungunya Hotline to assist in the management of the disease which has affected several persons throughout the tri-island.
The special ChikV HOTLINE number is 403-7656. The hotline, a joint initiative of the ministry and telecommunications provider LIME, was fully operationalised on Wednesday 3 September. Persons affected with Chikungunya can call the HOTLINE 403-7656 mainly after 4:00pm, to be assisted by a healthcare provider employed with the ministry.
Meanwhile the public is advised to utilise the services of their personal physician, the nearest health facility or call the Ministry of Health on 440-2649 during the normal working hours.
