Conception Dance Theatre Grenada, renowned for its commitment to artistic excellence, is set to enchant audiences with a breathtaking showcase of classical and contemporary dance at Rotary’s Carols by Candlelight event which will be held on Sunday 3 December.

A highlight of their performance will be exquisite excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s iconic Nutcracker Ballet.

Cecilia Griffith, the visionary founder, artistic director, and ballet master of Conception Dance Theatre, has curated an awe-inspiring presentation featuring over 50 talented dancers. The production promises to transport spectators into the enchanting world of the Nutcracker, with mesmerising solos and group performances, including the beloved Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Arabian Dance, Waltz of the Flowers, Candy Canes, and Toy Soldier March.

Griffith shared her excitement about the upcoming production, stating, “The girls are very excited about this classical production and have been working hard at sharpening their presentation skills.” The theatre’s top choreographers will create the ballet steps for this production. Leading the ballet’s principal roles are the exceptionally talented dancers of the ballet school, captivating audiences this Carols by Candlelight.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Conception Dance Theatre stands as a beacon of excellence, specialising in Acro, Ballet, Modern, and Grenadian/Caribbean Folk. The theatre’s impressive portfolio includes notable performances at the Shashamane Rhythm and Motion Festival in Trinidad 2016, the National Independence Celebrations 2015-17, the Grenada Invitational 2017, Pure Grenada Music Festival in 2016 and 2017, the 2017 Carriacou Maroon Festival, and Carifesta XIII in Barbados.
