After 9 exciting weeks featuring 4 rounds of intense competition, among 22 schools, the Grenada Boys’ Secondary School (GBSS) and Westmorland Secondary School will meet each other in the final on Friday, 24 November 2023.
The 2 finalists faced off in the semi-final with Hillsborough Secondary and Mac Donald College, respectively, tackling the theme “The Grenada Revolution: The Achievements and Demise.”
Throughout the weeks, debaters from both Westmorland and GBSS as well as other teams have been keenly followed by a national audience. Many of the debaters have been voted, by audiences across the company’s social media platforms, to win the 2023 Favourite Debater Award.
The final showdown in the Grenlec Debates, the most anticipated match, will be hosted under the theme “Independence” with a focus on Systems of Government.
The final will be broadcast on Saturday, 25 November, on MTV at 6 pm and on Sunday, 26 November on GBN TV from 4 pm. It will also be broadcast on GIS and available for viewing Grenlec’s YouTube channel.
