The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Religious Affairs informs the public that due to the commencement of refurbishment work at the St George’s Health Centre, the facility is closed from 11–21 November 2023.
All concerned are kindly asked to take note of this closure as well as the rescheduling and relocation of services commencing Monday, 13 November, at the following areas:
- Dental Clinics at the National Stadium from 13–17 November 2023
- A pop-up clinic at the Bruce Street Mall, St George’s on 17 November 2023
- Wound care/dressing at the outpatient clinic on the ground floor of Phase 2, new building, General Hospital
- Extended Doctor’s clinic and other services at Happy Hill and Snug Corner Medical Stations
The Ministry also advises all clients with appointments for the paediatric outpatient clinic on Wednesday, 15 November, that they will be contacted for the purposes of scheduling a new date.
Clients are also encouraged to utilise their nearest health facility as well as the clinics that will be offering extended services, in an effort to prevent overcrowding at the Accident and Emergency Department of the General Hospital.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Religious Affairs reassures the public that the entire team is committed and is working diligently to improve staff comfort and service delivery to clients. The Ministry sincerely apologises for any inconvenience the temporary closure and service interruption at the St George’s Health Centre may cause, and thanks all for their understanding and patience as we navigate this situation together.
