Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 66-year-old Melvar Wharwood.
On Sunday, 3 May 2026, based on information received, officers proceeded to Mirabeau, St Andrew, where they discovered the motionless body of Ms Wharwood lying on the ground. The body was examined at the scene by a medical doctor and pronounced dead.
Anyone with information that may assist in this investigation is urged to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 440-3921, Grenville Police Station on 442-7224, Police Emergency at 911 or the nearest police station.
The Commissioner and members of the RGPF extend condolences to the loved ones of Ms Wharwood.
