This Earth Day, the call to action is clear: “Our Planet, Our Power.” CYEN Grenada is standing alongside the Ministry of Climate Resilience, the Environment and Renewable Energy, and calling on every Grenadian to answer that call with intention and purpose on Wednesday, 22 April 2026.

The Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) Grenada Chapter proudly affirms its full support for the national World Earth Day 2026 initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Climate Resilience, the Environment and Renewable Energy. As a youth-led environmental organisation deeply invested in the future of this island, CYEN Grenada recognises that the protection of Grenada’s natural resources is not merely an institutional responsibility but a generational one. Aligned with this year’s theme, CYEN Grenada is calling on citizens, businesses, organisations, and communities across the island to translate awareness into meaningful, measurable action.

How to participate

CYEN Grenada encourages all stakeholders to participate in World Earth Day 2026 by:

  • Wearing Earth colours (green or blue) on 22 April to visibly demonstrate solidarity with the planet
  • Planting trees and actively supporting national and community reforestation efforts
  • Organising or participating in community clean-up activities in your neighbourhood, school, or workplace
  • Reducing waste through conscious consumption and the adoption of sustainable practices
  • Educating others (in homes, schools, and social media) to amplify environmental awareness across Grenada

A united national front

“Real change comes through collaboration. This Earth Day, we call on every Grenadian in their household, their workplace, and their community to demonstrate that our power as a people lies in our unity of purpose.”

CYEN Grenada Chapter

CYEN Grenada calls on government agencies, private sector partners, schools, and civil society organisations to formalise their environmental commitments and join us as active partners in youth-led climate action. We encourage all participants to document their Earth Day activities and share them publicly inspiring broader regional participation and showcasing Grenada’s collective resolve.

Youth leading change

As part of its ongoing mission, CYEN Grenada continues to empower young people to assume leadership roles in environmental advocacy, education, and sustainable development. The organisation remains committed to strengthening youth engagement in climate resilience and to building the next generation of environmental stewards across Grenada and the wider Caribbean.
