The Traffic Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force hereby notifies the general public, particularly motorists, that a section of the Grand Anse public road, from the Golf Course intersection to the Food Fair traffic light, will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic on Tuesday, 31 March 2026 and on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, from 9 pm to 5 am.
This closure is necessary to facilitate road reinstatement works in the area closest to SilverSands Hotel.
During this closure, the following traffic arrangements will be implemented:
NO ENTRY
- No vehicles will be permitted to travel in a northern direction along the Grand Anse public road from its intersection with the Mont Toute public road (Close to the Food Fair Traffic Light)
- No vehicles will be permitted to travel in a southern direction along the Grand Anse public road from its intersection with the Golf Course public road (Close to the Grand Anse Post Office)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
- Vehicles travelling from the southernmost part of the island will be diverted via Mont Toute public road, continue through Karland Park, and exit onto the Golf Course public road
- Vehicles travelling from Belmont direction, will be diverted through Golf Course public road, to Karland Park and exit along the Mont Toute public road
NB: Persons residing between the Food Fair traffic light and SilverSands hotel will be allowed entry only from the traffic light direction.
