Powerade National Swimming Championships conclude with record-breaking performances

The Grenada Amateur Swimming Association (GASA) successfully hosted the Powerade National Swimming Championships 2026, a 4-day event that brought together the country’s top swimmers for an exciting display of talent, determination, and sportsmanship.

The championships also served as a CARIFTA qualifier for Team Grenada, providing athletes with the opportunity to achieve qualifying standards for selection to represent the country at the regional level.

Throughout the meet, swimmers delivered outstanding performances in the pool. A total of 11 national records were broken, with 4 additional swims establishing new record times, highlighting the continued progress and development of competitive swimming in Grenada. A hearty congratulations to Grenfin Swim Club on retaining the overall team title at this year’s championships.

The association also congratulates all age group champions, whose consistent performances and dedication were evident throughout the competition:

Age Group Champions

  • Tyler Charles: 8 & Under Female Champion
  • Zion Doughlin: 8 & Under Male Champion
  • Halle Gooding: 9-10 Female Champion
  • Keshon Cobb: 9-10 Male Champion
  • Angliner Jackson-Bain: 11-12 Female Champion
  • Mateo Thomas: 11-12 Male Champion
  • Eliza Rose Benjamin: 13-14 Female Champion
  • Ethan Chu Fook: 13-14 Male Champion
  • Zeia Ollivierre: 15 & Over Female Champion
  • Jacob Collymore: 15 & Over Male Champion

The Grenada Amateur Swimming Association extends sincere appreciation to the officials and volunteers whose professionalism ensured the smooth and fair execution of the meet. The association also thanks the coaches, parents, and supporters who continue to play an important role in the development of our athletes.

Special thanks are extended to Powerade/Dasani, the title sponsor, as well as our individual and corporate sponsors for their valued support in making the championships possible.

The Powerade National Swimming Championships 2026 once again showcased the strength of swimming in Grenada, and we look forward to the promising future of the nation’s athletes.
