The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) is thrilled to announce that the GHTA National Culinary Team will proudly represent Grenada at the 2025 Taste of the Caribbean Competition.

This prestigious event will take place in Barbados from 16 to 18 November 2025.

The team, comprised of Grenada’s finest culinary talents, includes Team Captain Chef Andre Church of RTA Services, Team Logistics Manager Chef Belinda Bishop of Flavours of Grenada, Senior Chef  Elvis George, Junior Chef Rashid Cromwell, Pastry Chef Sasha Lessey, and Mixologist Antonio Bayne. Under the guidance of GHTA CEO Arlene Friday, the team is set to showcase Grenada’s culinary creativity and authentic island flavours on a regional stage.

Taste of the Caribbean is the premier regional culinary competition and cultural showcase organised by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) where top chefs and culinary teams from 12 Caribbean destinations gather to compete, demonstrate skills, and highlight regional flavours.

“It has been a dream of mine to re-establish our National Culinary Team,” said Friday. “I am proud of what we accomplished through the dedication of our team and culinary community. I’m excited to see our team represent the rich and diverse flavours that define Grenada’s cultural identity with the region and the world.”

The GHTA extends heartfelt appreciation to the sponsors who have made the team’s participation possible. Principal sponsors include the GHTA Tourism Enhancement Fund and interCaribbean Airways, with supporting sponsors Westerhall Rums Estate Grenada, SIFH Group, Umbrellas Beach Bar, T A Marryshow Community College, Silversands Grenada, Six Senses La Sagesse, Restaurant Training and Advisory Services, Flavours of Grenada and Fish Net Fish Shop. Special thanks also to Coach and mentor Chef Ramces of Six Senses La Sagesse.
