Prime Minister Honourable Dickon Mitchell expresses solidarity with the Government and people of Jamaica in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.
On Monday, 17 November, Prime Minister Mitchell will join fellow Caricom Heads of Government and OECS leaders in a visit to Jamaica to view sites affected by the hurricane and to discuss how Caricom can lend its support. This engagement, coordinated by the Caricom Secretariat, underscores the region’s commitment to collective resilience and cooperation in the face of natural disasters.
Grenada stands firmly with Prime Minister Honourable Andrew Holness and the people of Jamaica as they work toward recovery and rebuilding. The Government of Grenada reaffirms its readiness to assist in any way possible to help restore normalcy and provide relief to those affected.
During Prime Minister Mitchell’s absence on Monday, Honourable Phillip Telesford, Minister for Health, will serve as Acting Prime Minister.
