The US Embassy is pleased to announce the arrival of Cindy Diouf, an accomplished career diplomat, as the new Principal Officer at the US Embassy in Grenada.

Diouf is a career member of the US Foreign Service with extensive experience in diplomacy and international relations. During her tenure, she has served in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo), Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Washington, DC, where she most recently served as the Senior Desk Officer for Spain, Portugal, and Andorra. Her work in Washington focused on advancing relations with key European allies, while her overseas tours emphasised visas, citizenship services, and crisis management.

Diouf brings a wealth of experience in the Caribbean, having also served on temporary duty in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Her leadership in crisis management and her ability to foster strong bilateral relationships have been hallmarks of her career.

Since her arrival, Diouf has begun courtesy calls with leaders in government and the private sector of Grenada, signalling her commitment to strengthening ties between the United States and Grenada.

“I am honoured to serve as Principal Officer in Grenada,” Diouf said. “I look forward to advancing US interests in Grenada while deepening our collaboration and supporting our shared goals for security and prosperity. Together, we can advance initiatives that benefit both nations, such as enhancing regional security and building our educational exchange programme.”

Under Diouf’s leadership, the US Embassy will continue to prioritise mutual goals and foster meaningful connections between the people of the United States and Grenada.
