In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Independence, Grenada will be honoured in the Intellectual Property (IP) Spotlight at the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Assemblies, taking place from 8–17 July 2025, at WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
This milestone recognition places Grenada at the forefront of global discussions on intellectual property (IP), innovation, and sustainable development, particularly for Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
This showcase is a key component of Grenada’s differentiation strategy for its origin-linked products — nutmeg, cocoa, and rum — under the “Pure Grenada” brand. It also provides a platform to engage the global community in Grenada’s journey toward Geographical Indications (GIs) and value-added branding.
Grenada’s delegation is headed by Sen. The Hon Claudette Joseph, Attorney General and Minister for Legal Affairs, Labour and Consumer Affairs.
Other members of the delegation include Robert Branch, Registrar of Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office, representatives of the Grenada Office of Creative Affairs, and Jevaughn John, youth IP ambassador.
