Two insurance brokerage companies are no longer authorised to conduct business in the State of Grenada. The regulating body for the entities has cancelled the registration for one, while the other did not renew its registration when it expired at the end of 2024.
According to 2 notices on the Grenada Authority for the Regulations of Financial Institutions (GARFIN) website, Platinum Consultancy (insurance broker) and Benjamin’s Insurance Brokerage are no longer allowed to conduct business.
According to the notice of Cancellation of Registration on GARFIN’s website, “the registration certificate held by Platinum Consultancy (insurance broker) expired on 31 December 2024, and has not been renewed. Therefore, the entity is not authorised to conduct insurance business.”
With regard to Benjamin’s Insurance Brokerage, the notice said that the entity had requested that its registration be cancelled with effect from 27 November 2024. “Therefore, the Broker is no longer authorised to conduct insurance business,” said the Cancellation of Registration notice.
As of 31 March 2025, there are 15 regulated insurance brokers according to the GARFIN website.
