The Government of Grenada, in collaboration with the World Bank and the International Development Association (IDA), is pleased to announce the OECS Data for Decision Making Scholarship Programme.
This initiative aims to strengthen the technical and organisational capacity of the Central Statistics Office (CSO) in Grenada, providing opportunities for qualified Grenadian nationals to pursue higher education in key fields that support effective data-driven decision-making.
The scholarship programme will offer at least 8 scholarships for the 2025 academic year to support students in pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as professional certificates/diplomas. The areas of study eligible for the scholarships include:
- Statistics
- Economics
- Demography
- Data Science
- Any other statistics-related field
Value of the award: The award covers tuition only.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Grenada
- Pursue one of the above eligible fields of study
- Be accepted by any of the three University of the West Indies main campuses (Mona, St Augustine or Cave Hill) offering the relevant programmes
- Meet the academic qualifications as required by the chosen institution
Documents required
One (1) copy of the following documents is required to complete the scholarship package:
- Completed Scholarship Application form
- Certified copy of birth certificate/passport bio-data page/citizenship document
- Certified copies of ALL academic certificates (certified by the Examinations Unit, Ministry of Education)
- Certified copy of ALL academic transcripts
- 2 letters of reference (professional, educational and/or community level)
- Copy of Acceptance Letter from The University of the West Indies (Mona, Augustine or Cave Hill)
- One (1) passport-sized photograph
- Curriculum Vitae
- 500-word essay explaining the ways in which this degree will directly impact and enhance your professional skills, thereby improving the efficiency of the Central Statistics Office and Grenada’s future development

Application process
Interested applicants should submit their completed scholarship application form along with supporting documents to the Human Resource Development (HRD) Division (Scholarship Desk), Ministry of Education. The application deadline is Monday, 23 June 2025.
